Years ago, my life revolved around a government job. While the job gave me financial stability, it also came with sleepless nights. Deep inside I felt something was missing, a life with peace and purpose.
Looking for a small business with low investment, I joined a beekeeping training program. At first, it was just an opportunity to earn an additional income.
I never imagined that one decision would change my life forever.
It started with a single hive. But they changed my life..
In the beginning, I focused on learning how to care for the bees and harvest honey. But as I spent more time with them, I began to realize that they had much more to teach me than beekeeping.
Watching thousands of bees work together without conflict changed the way I looked at life.
What started as a business slowly became my passion.
The bees didn’t just produce honey. They taught me how to live.
From a Single Hive..
To a Lifetime of Learning..
My curiosity grew into dedication, and dedication became a lifelong journey.
My small beginning with a single hive gradually grew into a thriving beekeeping venture. Over the years, I continued learning, improving, and sharing my knowledge with farmers and fellow beekeepers.
Today, I am honoured to have received the National Award in Beekeeping from the Central Bee Research Training Institute, Pune.
For me, this award isn’t just an achievement. It’s a reminder that passion, patience, and purpose always create lasting value.
The story behind the name,
VANAMAGAL..
For nearly 20 years, I sold my honey under the name SKM Honey.
Many customers loved the quality of my products, but an established Siddha brand existed with the same name. When people searched online for my honey, they were usually directed to the other brand instead.
After years of serving my customers with honesty and dedication, I realised it was time for a fresh beginning.
That is how VANAMAGAL was born.
More than a new name..

It represents everything I have learned from nature over the years. It carries decades of experience, countless hours spent caring for bees, and a deep respect for nature.
I remain committed to responsible beekeeping and delivering honey that reflects the quality and authenticity my customers have trusted for years.
